It is Well

Life is going very well and I have very few complaints. Like most people I would prefer to have less weight on my body and more funds in my bank account, but other than that there are no complaints that I could possibly come up with. Life has been an adventure and I continue to be amazed by the relationships, experiences and opportunities God gives me. I am humbled, honored, encouraged and a little bit nervous even! I am wrestling with a shoulder injury that has been more of an inconvenience than anything else as it is taking quite some time to heal. I have also learned that I need to be better about taking time off work, whether continuing education or vacation time and to spread that time out. Other than my weekly day (or two) off and my monthly day of prayer, I have not taken any time off yet this year. I am excited about a quieter summer with less travel and more time to work on and enjoy our property. In July we head to Hawaii, which in the end is a miracle trip. I will go to Kentucky for a silent retreat in August, will travel to California for a class in September and Jessica and I will head to Israel in October. Certainly exciting things ahead and plenty going on. All fronts are joyful: as a Christ-follower, husband, father, pastor, professor, writer, volunteer and more I am finding great joy, challenge, learning and opportunity. Its important to remain humble, faithful and wise in any season, especially a good season. I am truly blessed!
